Joe Anthony Olaiz
Born on February 19, 1946, he was a man of profound courage and unwavering heart. A Vietnam veteran, he faced unimaginable challenges and carried the heavy burden of being the only survivor of his platoon. His resilience in the face of such adversity was nothing short of extraordinary.
Beyond his service, he embraced life with love and devotion, becoming a cherished father and a doting grandfather. To his family, he was the rock they could always count on, tough as nails when life demanded strength, but as sweet as candy in moments of tenderness.
His life was a beautiful blend of grit and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and an enduring reminder of what it means to live with purpose and heart. His family carries his spirit forward, honoring the remarkable man he was.

Joe Daniel Olaiz
Joe Daniel Olaiz was a man defined by his courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to his country and family. When his nephew Joe was wounded in the war, Joe Daniel felt the undeniable call to serve. Inspired by his nephew’s bravery and driven by his own deep sense of duty, he enlisted in the Marines, where he served two honorable years.
Those two years of service left a profound mark on Joe’s life. Wanting to continue making a difference, he transitioned to the Navy, where he dedicated the next 20 years of his life. Over two decades, he cemented his reputation as a loyal, hard-working, and steadfast member of his team. His peers admired his resilience, his commitment, and the calm, reassuring strength he brought to every challenge.
After retiring from a distinguished military career, Joe Daniel Olaiz left behind a legacy of service and sacrifice that continues to inspire others. His life is a testament to what it means to answer the call of duty—not just once, but again and again—with courage, integrity, and a heart full of love for his country and family.
